CAT130xx, CAT140xx and CAT150xx supervisors offer Microwire, I2C and SPI serial interface with 1-, 2-, 4-, 8- and 16-kbits of embedded EEPROM
SANTA CLARA, Calif.--January 24, 2007--Catalyst Semiconductor,
Inc. (NASDAQ:CATS)a supplier of analog, mixed-signal and non-volatile memory semiconductors today launched three new families of voltage supervisors with the industry’s broadest selection of embedded memory. The CAT130xx supervisor family offers 1-, 4-, 8- and 16-kbit embedded EEPROM with Microwire serial interface. The CAT140xx and CAT150xx provide 2-, 4-, 8- and 16-kbit embedded EEPROM with I2C and SPI serial interface protocols, respectively.
The three new Catalyst voltage supervisor families offer seven reset threshold voltage options from 2.32V to 4.63V to support 2.5V, 3V, 3.3V and 5V systems. The reset function is available with either CMOS active low or CMOS active high output options.
“Catalyst is the first company to offer such an extensive range of embedded EEPROM memory and supervisor combinations,” said Scott Brown, Vice President of Marketing for Catalyst Semiconductor. “Now designers have a choice of integrating a voltage supervisor with any serial EEPROM from 1-kbit density up to 16-kbits to achieve the exact solution needed for the specific application.”
Product Features
- Seven threshold voltage options: 4.63V, 4.38V, 4.00V, 3.08V, 2.93V, 2.63V, 2.32V
- Active high or low reset, valid reset guaranteed at Vcc = 1V
- Embedded memory selections/interface:
CAT130xx: 1-, 4-, 8- and 16-kbit embedded EEPROM / Microwire
CAT140xx: 2-, 4-, 8- and 16-kbit embedded EEPROM / I2C
CAT150xx: 2-, 4-, 8- and 16-kbit embedded EEPROM / SPI
- Packaging: 8-pin SOIC
Price and Availability
The CAT130xx, CAT140xx and CAT150xx range in price from $0.25 to $0.33 each in 10,000 piece quantities. Samples are now available and projected lead-time for production quantities is currently 6 to 8 weeks ARO.
